The Jetset has been a bit busy in Italy lately with planning trips, attending fashion classes, and traveling. To rekindle the fashion flame on The View From Above, I've decided to break in the blog with some Heatherette. Although the collection was insane, unexpected, and entertaining, it wasn't my favorite show. Hotter collections have come down the runway this week in New York, and Heatherette has seen better days. So why did I choose to open with this unpredictible duo?Well, look on and immediately, you'll know. With a strange mix of Wizard of Oz and Alice in Wonderland, the look was a trippy blend of futurism, trash glam, and nostalgia. There was some inspiration from Glenda the Good Witch, but it seems as though most of the designing was done by the Scarecrow. If he only had a brain... It all ends with the famous transvestite, Amanda Lepore, appearing on the runway with a few kids in tutus. Only in New York, people.
I guess there really is no place like home.

Nothing there really jumps out at me...its all a little crazy.
i agree. heatherette has done better. i guess its just the theatrics of it this season.
It all looks a little disjointed. There really is no easy way to connect all the designs.... Apparently Heatherette were too busy designing clothes for Macy's.
