A Critique of Glamour’s Fashion Dos and Don’ts
I was working out while watching E! TV this morning, when Glamour’s Fashion Dos and Don’ts began. As a fashion blogger, enthusiast, and student, I paid close attention to what this successful women’s magazine had to say. The more I watched the show, the more I disagreed. My personal fashion rule? Don’t ever listen to Glamour if you want a creative, head-turning look.
Glamour Don’ts that I Don’t Agree With
“Don’t wear hosiery that isn’t sheer.”

Hello, Glamour? Leggings? If you look in W, Vogue, or Harpers Bazaar, you’ll see a glossy shrine to the versatility of leggings. They have been around for the past few seasons, and it looks like they’re here to stay for a few more.
“Don’t Wear Embellished Jeans.”
Can anyone say Roberto Cavalli? Enough said.
“Don’t wear oversized bags.”

Apparently, again, every other magazine aside from Glamour is wrong. So are all of the young, successful celebrities that have ever been photographed in the past 3 months. Oh, and apparently I am wrong as well.
“Candy colored hair is a Don’t.”
Ok, so my hair just has blond highlights. But you can’t bash people for taking risks and being creative. Let's try... Betsey Johnson?

Sounds like they got it terribly wrong...because oversized bags and opaque tights are every where right now!! Like you said, just look in any high end fashion mag???
